An Interns Journey: Why a Cultural Model Works Best at Purple Online Media Solutions
It has only been 5 months now in the company and so much work and dedication has been put to every working aspect that makes the company a success.
You probably wondering why I started my introduction the way I did but you will soon realise the reason for my approach.
I am obviously fresh out of college and the working environment is a whole new experience given that I had all the theory and practical activities from tertiary but the actual world itself is a whole new story built from the core of all the basics learnt from institutions.
I knew I had the core capabilities to be that desirable employee and because I am a creative I must say the organisational culture has allowed me to be “free”. Free in the sense that as an employee in a creative agency I have the ability to express myself and get the chance of being heard which is very encouraging because my ideas are being recognised. What is more rewarding is that most of my creative ideas that spring out are being used to produce creative executions and taking the role of the visionary in the process is great. This all reinforces the company’s culture as it has been proven that the best executions are one where there is a highly participative process from both the formulation and implementation of strategies through the lower levels of employee input, enabling free flow of ideas that are not bias and are flexible- This is one of the reasons why I believe the company has so much potential in establishing itself as one of the most well renowned and recognised digital solutions agency in SA, in the near future.
All our initiatives are painted in broad brush strokes with a long term orientation in mind because that is the direction that every successful business should take with every project they endeavour. I have come to realise that with this charismatic approach it has guided the organisation through the communication of the vision and our goals are aligned together with the company’s goals and mission statement, and, because of this approach it has led to the growth and stability of the organisation. With all of this mentioned it now comes to the degree of leadership given by the senior management as they are the anchors of the organisation and they have instilled good qualities that should be shared amongst the employees and being able to dream together in order to reach organisational goals.
The relationship that is built within the company is strong and we share our setbacks and celebrate success together which is most rewarding for an employee who is determined and has trust in the company.
We dream and create TOGETHER.
